This site is all about the many adventures that Lindsey and I will be embarking on in the next few years and will also serve as a way to keep connected with our friends and family. But what exactly are we doing? Well, I am glad you asked!
We have officially been approved to be Missionary Associates with the Assemblies of God to Convoy of Hope Europe in Brussels, Belgium. That’s a lot of words, I know that, so let me elaborate. The Assemblies of God (AG) is a particular Christian denomination and they focus heavily on mission work. Convoy of Hope Europe (COHEU) is a nonprofit organization that partners with the AG and Convoy of Hope International to provide hope to 43 different countries in Europe, Eurasia, and North Africa.
The employees of COHEU are, in most cases, missionaries through the AG. And that’s where we come in. As Missionary Associates, we will essentially be employees wherever COHEU needs us.
But why Europe? Aren’t they already civilized and know about God? Wouldn’t our time be better spent going to a country that has never heard of God? You may think that, but the truth is Europe is a cold place as far as Christ goes. Centuries of the Church being ruled by people rather than Christ has made the people calloused. That’s where COHEU comes in. By showing the genuine love of Christ to those who don’t want to know anything about God, they can experience Him on a level never before experienced. Lindsey and I both believe God has an incredible plan for Europe. We believe that with a lot of love, hard work and most importantly, with God’s leading hand, there is hope to be spread and change to be seen.
Our heart is in this and we need your help. With your monthly support and prayer you can make a difference in a continent that needs hope. This blog will be updated weekly or bi-weekly by Lindsey and myself to let you all know what is going on, where we are going, and anything else you may want to know! This is the beginning of about a three year journey, so buckle up!
